Shanghai 1930's

One night when my sis was here in August, we went karaoke at this place in chinatown called Cashbox KTV. it was kinda drizzling that night so we took shelter in this doorway. as we know, chinatown has many dark scary 'holes', we were standing in one. right next to us was this glassdoor and when we looked down all we saw was red light and these sparkly dangling curtains... looks kinda dodgy. we joked and told our friends we found a brothel right next to K....

A month or so after that i went cashbox again. this time with marina, her friends and cousins. that night, marina's friend said there's this new pub just below cashbox and she'll bring us to have a look. she took us down to the basement through the 'backdoor'.... and guess where i was? in the 'brothel'. red light, sparkly dangling curtains!!

well... of course it's not a brothel. it's just a asian pub. since then i've been there twice. the first time with lynn, ip, tate, mark, joe and myself. last friday we went again. the name of the place is 'Shanghai 1930's' hence the ambience. i like that place, it's small (about 7 tables) and it has nice cushions, the music is not too loud. a nice place to chill with friends, have a few drinks, play some games (dice; 5/10; hai dai; mcdonalds; jump frog; 7 8 9... many many different very funny games) and just have fun.

here are some pictures we took that night... (let's hope i won't get scolded by miss AGAIN!) =PUs girls
Joe & Ip playing 'hai dai' Lynn & Ip
Mark ze Evil
Ip with his silly faceNancy & Mark
Mark's finger... oh ooppps... i mean UFO.
ah... better but silly Joe.. hehe...

All in all it was a fun night out. ;)

my thoughts are my own...

mark, i think your problem is that you are not asian enough.
You'll never have a place in chingy's good books.
U'll have to embrace the inner asian man living in ur sole.
It can only set u free.

My inner asian man has been deported for over staying his Visa. So don't blame me Chingy, blame the immigration department, their ze evil ones.
